Here are a few more pieces of concept artwork for the guy and girl character. The characters are quite simple but take route from a range of ideas and references. These will all be laid out in a later post. Any comments welcome.

corbo - the animation

Welcome to the on-line production blog for the short film 'Corbo'. 'Corbo' is a short film about loneliness and companionship. It follows the story of a girl who lives in a house on the back of a flying whale - using themes of travelling gypsies. The title is an amalgamation of the latin and European words for 'crow' - the reason behind this will become clear as and when you see the full story-board for the film. The production team is a group of final year animation students based in the UK at the University of Hertfordshire and includes Ben Casey (Art/Technical Director), Matt Smart (Animation Director), and Ben Clube (Art/Technical Director). We hope you enjoy following the production of this film and we look forward to showing you the finished product in May 2010.
